Ab 1717 war ihr Nennwert 21 britische Schilling oder ein Pfund Sterling und ein Schilling. Je nach Goldpreis stieg der Wert der Guinee bis auf 27 Schilling. Die Guinee wurde um 1816 ersetzt durch die Sovereign.

Its nominal value as of 1717 was 21 shillings or one pound sterling and one shilling. Depending on the gold price, the value of the guinea rose as high as 27 shillings. The guinea was replaced in 1816 by the sovereign.
