Brasilianisches Kabinett Wien
Eine aufgrund der österreichischen Brasilien-Expedition 1817–1821 zusammengestellte natur- und kulturhistorische Sammlung. Das sogenannte Brasilianum war im Harrachschen Stadtgebäude in der Johannesgasse situiert.
Die Brasilien-Sammlung wurde 1836 geschlossen. Die Bestände gingen teils in das Hof-Naturalien-Cabinet (heute Naturhistorisches Museum Wien), teils in das Museum für Völkerkunde (heute Weltmuseum Wien) über.
Brazilian Museum
A collection of natural history and cultural items brought together during the Austrian Brazil Expedition of 1817–1821. The objects and specimens from Brazil were kept in the Palais Harrach in Johannesgasse.
The collection was closed in 1836, and the holdings were transferred either to the Imperial Natural History Collection (now the Natural History Museum Vienna), or to the Ethnology Museum (now the Weltmuseum Vienna).
