Coatlicue

Atztekische Götterstatue der Göttin Coatlicue, Gebärerin von Huitzilopochtli.

Johann Conrad Fischer sah bei seinem Besuch der Exhibition of Ancient and Modern Mexico von 1826 einen Abguss dieser Statue. Den Angaben William Bullocks folgend, identifizierte er sie als Göttin Teoyamiqui.

Coatlicue

An Aztec statue of the goddess Coatlicue, who bore Huitzilopochtli.

Johann Conrad Fischer visited the Exhibition of Ancient and Modern Mexico in 1826 where he saw a cast of this statue. Following William Bullock’s identification, he believed this was the goddess Teoyamiqui.
