Hohelied Salomos

Buch des Alten Testaments; auch Hoheslied genannt.

Sammlung von teilweise erotischen Liebesliedern, in denen das Suchen und Finden, das Sehnen und gegenseitige Lobpreisen zweier Liebender geschildert wird. Zusammen mit dem Jesus Sirach und sechs weiteren Büchern gehört das Hohelied zu den Lehr- beziehungsweise Weisheitsbüchern des Alten Testaments.

Song of Songs

A book of the Old Testament, also known as the Song of Solomon.

A collection of love songs with erotic elements, which describes the searching and finding, the longing and mutual praise of two lovers. Together with Jesus Sirach and six other books, it constitutes the Wisdom Literature either found in the Hebrew Bible or considered apocryphal.
