Kopiermaschine

Maschine zur mechanischen Reproduktion von Schriftgut.

James Watt patentierte um 1780 eine Kopierwalze zur Reproduktion von Schriftgut. Dabei wurde ein mit besonderer Tinte beschriebenes Blatt mit einem weiteren Blatt bedeckt und durch zwei Walzen getrieben.

Auch Copirmaschine genannt.

James Watt patented a document copier in 1780 to reproduce written documents. The copier worked by covering a sheet that used a special ink with a second sheet and putting them through two rollers.
