Wedgwood Pyrometer

Verfahren zur Messung von Temperaturveränderungen durch das Prinzip der Schwindung von Tonzylindern bei hoher Hitze.

Das Verfahren wurde durch Josiah Wedgwood entwickelt und war einer der Hauptgründe für seine Wahl als Fellow der Royal Society im Jahr 1783.

A method of measuring temperature changes by the shrinkage of clay cylinders at high temperatures. The method was developed by Josiah Wedgwood and was one of the main reasons for his election as a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1783.
