Bavaria von Miller

Kolossale Bronzestatue. Bekannteste und monumentalste Darstellung der Bavaria.

Die Statue wurde von Ferdinand von Miller (1813–1887) im Auftrag des Königs Ludwig I. gegossen. Miller war von 1843 bis 1850 mit der Herstellung der Statue beschäftigt.

Die Statue steht seit 1850 vor der Ruhmeshalle oberhalb der Theresienwiese in München.

A colossal bronze statue. A monumental depiction of Bavaria that is widely known.

Commissioned by King Ludwig I, the statue was cast by Ferdinand von Miller (1813–1887). Miller worked on the production of the statue from 1843 to 1850.

The statue has stood since 1850 in front of the Ruhmeshalle above the Theresienwiese in Munich.
