Kupolofen
Historischer Schachtofen zum Schmelzen von Gusseisen aus Roheisen und Schrott. Erreicht im Vergleich zum Hochofen nicht die Temperaturen für die Reduktion von Eisenerz.
Auch Cupolofen genannt.

A historical shaft furnace for producing cast iron from pig iron and scrap metal. Compared with a blast furnace, it does not achieve the temperatures necessary for the reduction of iron ore.
